The R.O.C.K. program from Saint Francis University will be joining us for lots of hands-on learning and fun!
Slime Chemistry, K-5, 1:30-2:10
Love slime and silly putty? Come learn the chemistry behind them! We will discover the difference between a monomer and a dimer as well as the distance between molecules in a polymer by making our own slime and/or silly putty using glue and borax solutions. This is for K-5 and will last approximately 40 minutes.
Food Chemistry, 6th and up, 2:10-3:00
Join us to use chromatography paper to examine the food colorings used in candy, analyze the nutritional elements found in cereal, and explore the surface tension characteristics of milk. This is for 6th grade and up and will last approximately 50 minutes.
