Children ages 14 & under, plus caregivers, are invited to join us for a fun afternoon to kick off “Tails and Tales” Summer Quest 2021! Stroll through the park to discover the wide variety of homes that animals build with our new StoryWalk “Whose House is That?”, drop-in for story time fun, make a stuffed animal friend, and visit a variety of community organizations’ stations for activities and crafts.

This is a virtual, role-playing murder mystery created by Ruth Ware to be held on June 11th from 6pm-7pm on Google Meet. Only 8 people can sign up, if two people from the same household want to play they have to sign up individually and have their own webcam. This event is for adults 18+ only. Kits can be picked up the week before the event at the Altoona Area Public Library 5th Avenue facility. To register, call 946-0417 ext 125.

Join Miss Kristy and Miss Melanie for a fun-filled, bird-themed story time full of books, songs, rhymes, and movement activities. Our featured book is “Ruby’s Birds”, this year’s Longwood Gardens Community Read selection. Continue the fun at home with a Bird Seed Investigation Grab and Go Bag, which allows you to explore the food preferences of your neighborhood birds. Those who attend will be entered into a drawing for family passes to Longwood Gardens.

Join us for this Virtual Cooking Club to be held on Google Meet on April 19 at 6:30pm. Each month we will be featuring a different spice. Pick up your free spice sample, make a dish with it, and share your recipe with others during our virtual meeting.
