Blair County Library Card
You must have a current Blair County Library card that is free of overdues and/or unpaid fines before making an interlibrary loan request.
An interlibrary loan from the Altoona Public Library is a free service provided to patrons. An interlibrary loan allows patrons to request certain materials from libraries outside the Blair County Library System. Some materials that are not owned by the Blair County Library System can be requested from other libraries using Interlibrary Loan. This is a free service to our library patrons in good standing.
You must have a current Blair County Library card that is free of overdues and/or unpaid fines before making an interlibrary loan request.
Patrons are limited to having five (5) requests in the system at one time.
The lending library determines due dates and renewals. If a renewal is necessary, please contact the interlibrary loan department 3-4 days before the due date. We cannot request renewals for items that are already overdue.
Interlibrary loan requests may be submitted online, by phone, via email, or in person at the circulation desk.
*Please Note: Your name, contact information (phone number and/or email address) and barcode number must be printed clearly on the form.
