Supporting the Altoona Area Public Library
The Friends of the Altoona Library support programs and activities
of the Library by raising money and volunteering their time.
Book Sale
The Friends of the Altoona Library hold a used book sale twice a year, once in the spring and again in the fall. Profits support programs and activities at the library. The Friends present the proceeds from their trust fund and money from their general fund to the Library each year for materials and programming. Last year the Friends donated over $40,000 to the Library.
For further information about what items can be donated, click here.
The next scheduled book sale will be Friday, October 21st, Saturday, October 22nd, and Monday, October 24th.
